I grew up in the church.
You probably did, too.
And you, like me, probably saw (or see) the inherent problems in it.
I will say this off the bat: I believe in the local church. I believe it is the best mechanism for us to explore our faith. It is not a perfect mechanism. It is not the only mechanism. But I believe it is a necessary one.
But while it is necessary, I do not believe the church is without fault. In fact, I believe the church, as a whole, is replete with problems. Why? Because it is run by humans. And we’re messy.
I don’t mind the messy, as long as we’re
